MP25 is a special product for the cleaning and the protection of gel coat surfaces in the marine industry.  
The product is a easy to apply and creates a durable water repellent gloss without the use of wax or silicone.  
 
MP25 is a combination product where the surface preparation is included in the protective solution.  
An abrasive blend of natural minerals removes dirt and sun burned chalky gel coat, and simultaneously a ultra-thin invisible protective layer is created. This layer repels water and prevents adherence of foreign matter on the surface. (Easy to Clean effect). Due to the hydrophobic effect there is only a weak bond between dirt and the substrate which results in an easy to clean   
surface.  
The protective components adhere directly to the substrate molecules. The thin protection enters the microscopically irregular surface structure of the substrate and provides a much longer lasting effect than conventional product solutions.

MP25 is a gel coat care product that can be simply applied by hand. The abrasive blend makes it easy to remove dirt contaminations and the hydrophobic active substance provides a long lasting, ultra-thin protection and a durable easy to clean surface effect.     
Gel Coat will stay shiny for longer and protected even at harsh marine environments or in areas with high pollution or dust levels.  
Older and contaminated surfaces can be brought back to the original conditions.  
Water runs off easily from the treated surface. The protective effect last up to12 months, and shows increasing life span with periodical application. During this time all contaminations can be wiped off with a wet cloth.

Surface Preparation 

​

The substrate must be completely dry before the application. Very dirty surfaces should be washed first. 
Please remove loose dirt which could cause scratches and also microbial contaminations like algae.  

MP25 can be applied directly on to the Gel Coat surface without further preparation. Deep scratches or intensive 
caulking may require a surface preparation with a cutting compound.    

Application  

Do not dilute the product. Apply a small amount on a micro fibre cloth and use a polishing motion to remove all contaminations. 
After the application of MP25 let the product settle for 2-5 minutes. Now use a soft and dry micro fiber cloth and remove all remains of the product.  
The product can also be used with a buffing machine or a polishing pad. Depending on the substrate MP25 can be applied on to the pad or on to the substrate.  
Alternatively the product can be applied directly on to a cloth and wiped on to the surface.   
On a chalky substrate, a rather rough cloth should be used. 
On new surfaces, apply the product as described before, with a micro fiber cloth, and after 2 - 5 minutes remove all residues with a different dry soft cloth.  
During the application, the surface will become smooth and shiny.   
MP25 should not be applied in wet weather. The treated surface is rainproof after 5 -10 minutes.

Curing

Actual curing time is not required. 
The optimal protective effect is reached after 24 hours. 
The treated surface is rainproof after 5 - 10 minutes.        

Consumption 

​

Consumption is between 15 and 25 ml a square metre depending on the conditions of the substrates and 40 - 60m²/litre (360 – 540 foot²/litre)  
Consumption rate is a guideline only. 
  

Cleaning
 
Tools should be cleaned with clean water after use.  
 

Storage 
 
MP25 can be stored in the original sealed packaging for at least 12 months. Storage conditions should be dry and cool.

MP25 is not classified as dangerous goods.
It is not flammable, and not corrosive. 
Abrasives can be irritating. Due to the removal of gel coat, adequate protective personal equipment should be used.
